The Story of Valentine's Day
The feast of Saint Valentine was first associated with romantic love in the 14th century. In 18th-century England, it developed into an occasion when lovers expressed their love for one another by giving each other flowers and sweets and sending greeting cards. The celebrations, traditions and customs of Valentine's Day developed in England from early modern times. In the 19th century, they spread throughout the English-speaking world, including to the United States through emigrants. Since the late 20th and early 21st century also to East Asia.
March 8th is
Women's Day.
This special day stands for all women and mothers in this world. In some nations, this day is comparable to Mother's Day in others, simply as a tribute to women.

We have also made some special creations here for you to show your appreciation.
The History of International Women's Day
- In 1909, the first national women's day was observed in the United States.
- In 1910, on the occasion of the Second International Socialist Women's Conference in Copenhagen, it was decided to introduce an annual International Women's Day to mobilize for women's interests against multiple exploitation and oppression. Central concerns were equal rights for women and the right to vote.
- On March 19, 1911, on Women's Day, women and men demonstrated on the streets in Europe for the first time to draw attention to their demands: the right to work, access to public offices, vocational training, and the end of discrimination in the workplace. A major goal was the introduction of the right to vote.
- In 1921, International Women's Day was first celebrated on March 8th. The date commemorates the textile workers' uprising in New York in 1857, in which 129 workers lost their lives, and the 1917 textile workers' strike in St. Petersburg.
- Under Nazi ideology, Women's Day was banned and Mother's Day was introduced in its place to emphasize the role of women as wives and mothers.
- Only in the 1960s was International Women's Day revived by the women's movement. March 8th evolved into a day of women's solidarity between women of all walks of life and political persuasions to draw attention to women's concerns.
In March/April are
Easter...
They bring spring into the house and the joy that Easter brings. These include tulips in particular, but also ranunculus and freesia.

The Story of Easter
Even for non-Christians, Easter is a symbol of rebirth and renewal. Easter is the most important festival of the year for Christians.
On this holiday they commemorate that Jesus rose again after he died on the cross.
This event is described in the four gospels of the Bible and symbolizes mankind's redemption from sin and death and the hope of eternal life. Attending a service at Easter is a tradition for many. Holy Week - which begins Palm Sunday and ends Holy Saturday - serves as a time for Christians to reflect and reflect on the passion story of Jesus.

The Story of Mother's Day
In England, at the time of Henry III (1216-1239), Mother Church was the focus of Mothering Day celebrations. About 200 years later, in medieval England, Mothering Day was established around 1644: "Every Mid-Lent Sunday is a great day at Worcester, when all the children an grantchildren meet at the head and chief of the family and have a feast" ( "Every Fasting Sunday is a day of honor in Worcester when all the children and grandchildren gather with the head of the family and celebrate a feast").
On this Sunday (Lätare) all the children visited their mothers (go a-mothering), brought small gifts and the home-made mothering cake (or simnel cake). After the successful pioneering work of Anna Jarvis, Mother's Day also caught on in mainland Europe after the First World War.
Mother's Day has existed in Switzerland since 1917, after which it was introduced in Austria and Scandinavia.
December 3rd is
Advent...
Treat your friends to a bouquet of flowers from our shop. Brighten up your home with some candlelight from a candlestick arrangement from our collection.
The Advent season is a wonderful time to show someone you appreciate them and give them a little gift.
The Story of Advent
The focus today is more on anticipation with lights and chants. The theme of modern Advent is therefore less atonement and doing penance, but rather the joyful Christmas symbol of God's incarnation through the holy birth of Jesus Christ. Above all, evangelical Christians focus more on the festive and contemplative preparation of the Christmas season.
And the Christmas tree, Christmas decorations, Christmas markets and many other customs are always fun and enjoyable to celebrate. The originally contemplative character of the Advent season has been preserved to this day. Conversations and songs of reflection, repentance and charity are very common at events on Advent Sunday. This doesn't just happen in church or on a cold Sunday in December. Since the end of the fasting rule, opulent and colorful preparations for giving and celebrating are actually increasing from year to year. Advent and Christmas are still growing!
December 25th is
Christmas...
Let us fulfill your wish and send a flowery surprise to your loved ones. Give away joy for Christmas and conjure up a smile on the faces of those around you.
The Story about Christmas
The connecting, the enclosing and the common have become independent. Today, many people celebrate Christmas above and beyond its narrow theological and religious significance as a celebration of family, love and contemplation. Reading a good book, having a good conversation, finding time for each other - that's what counts. Apparently those fruits of Christ's teaching are so fruitful that they are also very attractive to non-practicing Christians and even people of other faiths.
Christmas is definitely celebrated with family and friends – with them and for them. Many people also rediscover their charity at Christmas. At no other time are more people committed to helping those in need than at Christmas.
