Our Candle Arrangements
Our candle arrangements with handmade candles are made with a lot of love for you in our flower workshop. Each one has its own unique touch because it is put together by hand. With bright Christmas tree balls and rich coniferous green and many natural accessories such as cinnamon sticks, wooden stars, Annis stars and cones from the region, our candle arrangements become little jewels.
Our Candles
Our candles are hand-poured every year. We chose 4 beautiful colors. A fine lime green, a delicate old pink, a bright orange and of course the classic bright red should not be missing. A small second workroom was converted into a candle studio. And in late autumn, the smell of warm candle wax hits your nose when the candles are freshly poured. We use specially twisted candle wicks that produce little smoke, resulting in minimal soot. Each candle is unique and made with a lot of love.
Which cut Flowers are current in Advent
During Advent we have a smaller selection of cut flowers, but we would still like to introduce you to a few of them, including green conifers and rustic cone types. |
Royal Protea: as the name suggests, it is truly royal. With its delicate pink tones, it fits wonderfully into the cold season. |
Amaryllis: probably the most famous Advent flower. Traditionally in red, they are now available in many different colors such as salmon, pink and of course white. |
Christmas rose: Who doesn't know the classic, the wonderfully subtle and popular Christmas rose. A symbolic gift, especially at Christmas. It also looks wonderful in your own garden. |
Ilex: The beautiful, bright red berries light up in your face when you see the Ilex. A beautiful, striking appearance in winter. |
Cones: |
The Douglas cone stands out with its cover scales that protrude far beyond the seed scales. A rather small to medium-sized cone with an elongated shape. |
The Amber cone is a fine, small, dark brown cone. The spherical fruit clusters contain many woody capsule fruits. |
The Strobus cone is cylindrical in shape, narrow and slightly curved. Its scales are brown to grey-brown and can contain a lot of resin. |
Conifer: |
Thuja: The green of the different Thuja species ranges from yellowish to blue-grey and has a strong scent. |
Taxus: the dark green of the taxus has a refreshing effect and is often used in door and Advent wreaths. Its red berries are poisonous. |
Silk pine: long, highly resinous needles are a characteristic of this type of pine. Fits perfectly with the elegant amaryllis |
