Origin:
Germinis are a hybrid form of Gerbera and belong to the Asteraceae family. They were bred to offer longer durability and a wider range of colors than their relatives.
Growth:
Germinis have an upright habit with long stems that can reach a height of 30 to 60 centimeters. They produce an abundance of flower heads along their stems.
Leaves:
The leaves of Germinis are lanceolate and can be dark green in color. They grow along the stems and serve to collect nutrients for the plant.
Blossom:
Germinis produce large, bright flower heads in a variety of colors including yellow, orange, pink, red, white and even bicolor varieties. The flowers can be single or double and often have a dark center.
Location:
Germinis thrive best in a sunny location with well-drained soil. They require at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day to develop their best flowers.
Care:
Germinis require regular watering, especially during dry periods. Waterlogging should be avoided as this can lead to root rot. Regular fertilization during the growing season promotes healthy growth and abundant flowering. Withered flower heads should be removed regularly to encourage new buds to form.
