Flowers directly to the reception point at Frutigen Hospital
At the Frutigen Hospital, the flowers are delivered to the delivery location specified by the hospital, where they are then brought directly to the patient's room by the hospital staff to surprise the patient.
Every hospital delivery receives express delivery from us at no additional cost. The flowers are also packaged to suit the external conditions and are provided with a so-called fresh bag, which ensures the water supply during the journey.
Express delivery to hospitals usually takes place between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Discover a bouquet of flowers, a flower arrangement in our shop or choose something floral from our suggestions for flowers for recovery or flowers for birth. Write a personal greeting card and simply select the “Delivery to hospital throughout Switzerland” option during the ordering process.
History of the Frutigen Hospital
The hospitals in Frutigen, Meiringen and Interlaken formed the foundation of Spitäler fmi AG. Over many years they had grown from simple emergency rooms to regional hospitals. Since its founding in 2003, Spitäler fmi AG has developed into a healthcare partner with hospitals, senior centers and practices.
The beginnings of health facilities in the eastern Bernese Oberland go back over 200 years. Between the end of the 18th and the middle of the 19th century, emergency rooms or sick rooms were set up in Frutigen, Meiringen and Interlaken. Soon the few beds were no longer enough and the rooms became hospitals. In 1891, the “Oberhasle District Hospital” began operations in Meiringen. The Interlaken District Hospital followed in 1905 and the hospital in Frutigen a year later.
The development of the region, population growth, increasing tourism and medical progress meant that there was soon a shortage of beds in the hospitals again. While the Interlaken Hospital increased the number of beds by two thirds to 150 in the 1920s, a new building was inaugurated in Meiringen in 1921. A year later, the hospital in Frutigen was expanded.
In the 1950s, further expansions were necessary. In Interlaken the bed capacity increased to 225 and in Frutigen the old hospital had to make way for renovations. This gave the community one of the most modern hospitals in the canton. A third new hospital building was built in Meiringen at the beginning of the 1970s, an additional building wing was built in Interlaken in 1975 and a new building was moved into in Frutigen in 1988 and an extension in 2002.
