History of the Hirslanden Stephanshorn
The Stephanshorn Clinic is a hospital in St. Gallen. She is on the hospital list of the canton of St. Gallen, which has given her contracts to provide basic medical care. The clinic emerged in 1978 from the merger of the Blumenau and Nokterianum private clinics and is part of the Hirslanden Group. In the 2022/23 financial year, 7,635 inpatients were treated at the clinic by 138 specialists.
The Stephanshorn Clinic emerged from the merger of the private clinics in Blumenau and Nokterianum and was opened in 1978. The Blumenau Clinic was founded in 1918 and the Notkerianum Clinic in 1924, the latter by the Menzinger Sisters. The Stephanshorn Clinic has been part of the Hirslanden Group since 2010. In 2013, a health center with a 24-hour emergency room was put into operation.
